1. Information that we collect and store

2. How we use this information

3. Security measures

4. Retention of your information

5. Access to information

1. Information that we collect and store

We collect and store two different types of information: personal information and user content.

Personal Information

This is information that you give us when you create your Kuhlab account: your full name, username, password and email address.

You may also give us information for your user profile such as your job title, the industry you work in, and your selected hashtags. This information allows us to help you or others to be searchable on Kuhlab.

To customize our service for you, we may collect and store your precise geographic location. This allows our search engine to calculate your distance from other users, allowing users to filter their search results by location. We may ask for your consent to do so on your first use of the Service. However, your precise geographic location at any time is not shared with other users.

User Content

Kuhlab provides a platform for users to post content, including jobs, projects, photos, audio and video files, comments, feedback and other materials ("User Content"). This means that other users may search for, see, use, or share any User Content that you make available through the Service, consistent with the this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

2. How we use this information

We may use your contact information to contact you by email about the Service, for example, account verification, changes/updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices. Please note that you cannot opt out of Service-related emails.

We may also use this information, and any User Content, to enforce our Terms of Use.

We may disclose your personal information if we are compelled to do so by law, or in response to a valid request by a law enforcement or governmental authority.

We do not share your personal information with other companies for marketing purposes.

Please remember that once User Content is posted, it is automatically available to other Kuhlab users, may be shared by them, and is effectively in the public domain.

We may use analytics companies to help us understand how the Service is being used. These companies use anonymous data (such as your IP address or device ID) and do not share it, except in aggregate form. No data is shared as to any individual user.

3. Security measures

We use [specify which security technology you use] to try and keep personal information transmitted to and from our server secure. However, we cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit to us over public or third party networks.

Please do your part to help us. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your password and for controlling access to emails between you and Kuhlab, at all times. We are not responsible for the functionality, privacy, or security measures of any other organisation.

4. Retention of your information

We will retain your personal information for as long as you are a user of the Service. We will delete User Content once you are no longer a user of the Service, or once you have deleted that content from your profile (whichever is earlier). Please remember that because it can be shared with other users, User Content may be in the public domain even after it is deleted.

5. Access to information

Please contact us if you have any questions about our Privacy Policy, or would like to know what information we are storing about you:

By email: help@kuhlab.com

Or write to us at:

Kuhlab Corporation Ltd
The Old Police Station

Please allow sufficient time for us to process your request.

We may ask for proof of identity and reserve the right not to provide information if identity is not established.

We will notify you via the Service or by email if this Privacy Policy is updated.

Our Policy On Cookies

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files containing a string of characters that can be placed on your computer or mobile device that uniquely identifies your browser or device. We may use technologies like cookies, pixels and local storage to deliver, secure, and understand products, services, and ads.

What are cookies used for?

Cookies and other technologies allow a site or services to know if your computer or device has visited it before. These technologies can then be used to deliver products, services, and ads, help us understand how the site or service is being used, help you navigate between pages efficiently, help remember your preferences, and generally improve your experience in using our services. Cookies can also help ensure marketing you see online is more relevant to you and your interests.

Why does Kuhlab use cookies and similar technologies?

We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to show you relevant content, improve your experience, and help protect Kuhlab and our users. We may use these technologies to deliver the service, provide you with a service that is easy to use, enables you to move around the Service and use its features, such as accessing secure areas, and store information so that Kuhlab responds faster. We may use these technologies to collect information about how you use the Service, for example which pages you go to most often and if you get error messages from certain pages. We may use these technologies to allow us to remember choices you make (such as your user name, language or the region you're in) and tailor the Service to provide enhanced features and content for you. These cookies can also be used to remember changes you've made to text size, font and other parts of pages that you can customize. Kuhlab or our advertising partners may use these technologies to deliver advertising that is relevant to your interests. These technologies can remember that your device has visited a site or service, and may also be able to track your device's browsing activity on other sites or services other than Kuhlab. This information may be shared with organizations outside Kuhlab, such as advertisers and/or advertising networks to deliver the advertising, and to help measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign. * We may use these technologies to understand, improve, and research products and services.

How long will cookies stay on my device?

The length of time a cookie will stay on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a "persistent" or "session" cookie. Session cookies will only stay on your device until you stop browsing. Persistent cookies stay on your computer or mobile device until they expire or are deleted.

First and third party cookies

First-party cookies are cookies that belong to Kuhlab, third-party cookies are cookies that another party places on your device through our Service. Third-party cookies may be placed on your device by someone providing a service for Kuhlab, for example to help us understand how our service is being used.

How to control cookies or other collection mechanisms

Follow the instructions provided by your website or mobile browser (usually located within the "Help", "Tools" or "Edit" facility) to modify your cookie settings. Please note that if you set your browser to disable cookies or other technologies, you may not be able to access certain parts of our Service and other parts of our Service may not work properly.
